When Paul was 18, in the mid ‘80s, his father lost his job in an economic downturn; he was not able to pursue his university ambitions. Paul found a job, as he put it “digging holes,” in the new construction industry. Paul was fortunate enough to begin his trade with old European tradesmen, whom made a lasting impression of skill and craftsmanship in Paul’s life. Paul started at Winmar in Kitchener in 1993 as a junior estimator, and found himself fortunate to be employed there. Winmar taught Paul the core values of honour and commitment when representing himself to his customers and clients. To this day, Paul feels that this was the cornerstone of his career. Winmar corporate offered Paul a franchise in 1997, which he expanded to Orangeville in 2002. Since then Paul has maintained the values of honour and commitment to his customers and ensures every customer is left 100% satisfied.
- Allen Denison, Senior Project Manager
Allen Denison, W.R.T., A.S.D.
Allen started in the restoration industry shortly after high school and brings over 18 years of experience to our team. He has held positions such as Estimator, Senior Estimator and Operations Manager within the Winmar system. Allen also has over 7 years of Sales Management experience handling small to large corporate accounts. Allen has spearheaded Winmar’s mandate to reduce the cycle time to 30 days from initial point of contact. He has a sincere desire to meet clients’ expectations and to get the home/business owner back comfortably and safely in their home/business as quickly as possible.
- Darrin Drake, Customer Care Manager
Darrin has held Management positions since 1999, successfully managing offices with 4 – 30 employees. Prior to joining Winmar, Darrin spent 4 ½ years as a Relocation Consultant with AMJ Campbell Van Lines. His roles and responsibilities included managing sales for Wellington County in addition to managing large home and business relocations locally, nationally and internationally. With his experience in educating the general public and industry peers, Darrin has been instrumental in Winmar’s contents packing, handling and manipulation guidelines and continues to train the staff in safe and correct procedures. Darrin brings with him his enthusiasm and sincere concern for helping clients through difficult times in their life and managing problems as they arise to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
Darrin currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Guelph and District Home Builders Association, volunteers on the Fun Run Committee for KidsAbility in Guelph and is an Ambassador for the Guelph Chamber of Commerce.
- Leon Johnson, Marketing Administrator
Leon JohnsonLeon joins the Winmar team with experience and schooling in graphic design, marketing. With a background in advertising and psychology, Leon brings a new and unique point of view to the Winmar team
- Andrew Weisz, Assistant Project Manager
Andrew came to us straight from college having studied at Connestoga college. His two year diploma learning to become a Renovation Technician, sets Andrew up perfectly as an assistant Project Manager. Andrew works closely with our Project Managers learning all the time. He is an asset to our team and will be sure to go far in the industry.
- Richard Corman, Project Manager
Richard Corman, WRT, FSRT, OCT
Richard Corman joins the Team of Winmar Guelph with 25 years of experience in construction, 5 of those as a General Contractor. In Richard’s youth he spent 3 years as a leading crew member for Winmar and has carried his experiences gained in the field into his role as a Project Manager. Richard’s knowledge of building and building related services are a great asset to Winmar’s clients and we are proud to have him on board!
- Amber Miceli, Assistant Project Manager
Amber MiceliAmber comes to Winmar with a wide variety of expertise in numerous industries including Retail, Transportation and Customer Service. Amber has just recently finished her Law Clerk Diploma, which adds to her already impressive versatility. Having worked in many industries, Amber brings the knowledge and skills needed that will ensure her as a vital asset to the company as Assistant Project Manager.
